AfterCare Program

After School Care is available to all children grades K-5 attending V.V. Reid School.  The program is also open to outside students, however, we do not provide transportation.  The AfterCare Program provides professional recreational activities and much more.  There is a set time for homework and snacks.  Daily activities including art, indoor and outdoor games will be provided for the children.  The program is intended to foster the child's social, emotional, and physical development in a safe, secure, and stable atmosphere.  Parents can be assured that their children are well cared for.

AfterCare Operating Schedule and Fees

The After-School Care Program is open Monday through Friday from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.  Our program is closed on holidays, school vacations, teacher professional days and emergency school closings.

​

AfterCare begins each day at 4:30 P.M. for our kindergarten students and 3:00 P.M. for our elementary students.

3:00 pm - 4:30 pm     Supervised Homework

4:30 pm - 5:00 pm     Snack Time

5:00 pm - 6:00 pm     Arts and Crafts, Games, Movies*, Activities....

 

*FRIDAYS are Movie Days

 

Late Pick-up Policy

​

The AfterCare Program ends promptly at 6:00 P.M.  A late fee of $2.00 per minute per child will be charged for each subsequent minute or portion thereof that a child remains at the School after 6:00 P.M.

​

 

Your Child's Belongings

 

Parents, please check your child's items daily.  Children are reminded constantly to remember their belongings and put them away in the correct place, however, some things do get left behind.

 

As we seek to improve the quality of our program, schedules may be subject to change. We will make every effort to notify parents in a prompt and effective manner.
